Kate was found living on the streets of Dallas. Her belly was so large it dragged the ground. Armed with a trap and a bucket of fried chicken, one of our volunteers set out to trap Kate. Thankfully, Kate took the bait and was whisked to a local vet. On the following night, February 10th Kate delivered nine healthy puppies. Nine! Now that her motherly duties have been fulfilled, it’s Kate’sturn.
Since being fostered, Kate responds to simple commands, loves to have her ears and belly rubbed, and wags her tail constantly. Kate is enjoying her new “princess” bed and daily treats. She is making new friends, and seems accepting of cats. Rescued dogs know that they have been rescued. Kate knows she has been rescued and appreciates everything. No longer on her own and living on the streets, Kate has the potential to be a great companion.
Kate is a labrador/basset mix. She weighs about 50 pounds. And is waiting for the perfect forever home. A home that will understand where Kate has been and what she will need to be the companion she wants to be. Her puppies have found great homes. It is now Kate's turn.
